James Ho | Managing Partner
James is a founding partner of Modular Capital. He spent his career investing in technology across public and private markets.
Previously, James was Principal at Altimeter Capital, a technology-focused crossover investment firm. Prior to Altimeter, James was Vice President at D. E. Shaw & Co., a $50B+ global multi-strategy hedge fund. He also spent time as a software developer at Bridgewater Associates. James earned his BA in Statistics from Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude.
Vincent Jow | Managing Partner
Vincent is a founding partner of Modular Capital. He has spent the last 10 years investing across crypto, fintech and broader TMT.
Previously, Vincent invested in fintech/crypto at Holocene, a long short equity hedge fund in New York. Prior to Holocene, Vincent was in private equity at Searchlight Capital. He started off his career at TMT M&A at Evercore. Vincent holds a BS in Economics from Wharton, graduating summa cum laude.
Joseph Ayala | Technical Lead
Joseph is the Technical Lead for Modular Capital. He leads the firms data and technical research efforts.
Joseph graduated from Carnegie Mellon with University Honors and holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with minors in Game Design and Human-Computer Interaction.
Nirmal Krishnan | Venture Partner
Nirmal is the Venture Partner for Modular Capital. He is Head of Engineering at Artemis Analytics.
Previously, Nirmal worked as a data scientist at Holocene. Prior to Holocene, Nirmal was a software engineer at Microsoft and before that in Sales & Trading at Goldman Sachs. Nirmal graduated from Johns Hopkins with Highest Honors and holds a BS/MS in Computer Science.
